Language development and listening skills are fostered through the use of finger plays, songs, movement activities and books specially chosen to engage this age group. Parent participation is required. This is a Family Place Program.

4th of July Parade and Festivities starting at 10:00 am – This annual parade begins at 10:00 am at Valley Blvd and Bartlett Avenue.  Then from noon - 10:00 pm, there will be carnival and food vendors at Rosemead Park, 4343 Encininta Avenue in Rosemead.  Live entertainment will begin at 4:00 pm and fireworks at dusk.  Ride tickets and unlimited ride wristbands will be available for purchase until 7:00 pm at the event.  Wristbands are $15 at the event or can be pre-purchased for $12 at the Garvey Center, 9108 Garvey Avenue, City Hall, 8838 E.Valley Blvd, or at the Rosemead and Garvey Park through July 3.  For information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at (626) 569-2160.
