Summer Reading Program at the Library – Read and win!  There is still time to sign up the Summer Reading Program.  This program is FREE for ALL ages!

National Night Out and Emergency Expo from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm –Rosemead’s Public Safety Department is hosting a summer BBQ to celebrate the 31st anniversary of National Night Out along with information on emergency preparedness, raffle prizes, Neighborhood Watch Information and more.   Location:  Rosemead Public Safety Center/ Zapopan Park, 8301 Garvey Avenue, Rosemead.

 

Wednesdays, August 6, 2014– Library Event

Tiny Tot Storytime from 10:00 am – 11:00 am - A fun, interactive introduction to the storytime experience for children 12 months to 4 years old. Language development and listening skills are fostered through the use of finger plays, songs, movement activities and books specially chosen to engage this age group. Parent participation is required. This is a Family Place Program.

 

Wednesday, August 6, 2014– Library Event

Games Galore! from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Each week, we will be hosting something new and exciting for your family to enjoy. It could be a singing competition, a board game day challenge, or even a Rock Band competition. What a great way to spend your summer here at the Rosemead Library!

 

Thursday, August 7, 2014 – Kiwanis Luncheon Meeting

SGV Bike Path update – The City of Rosemead has joined the growing list of communities involved with establishing bike paths as an eco-friendly way of both getting around and getting exercise. BikeSGV CEO Javier Hernandez will review Rosemead’s implementation of their plan along with overall activities of the group. The luncheon meeting will start at 12:10 pm at the Open Bible Church (7915 Hellman) in Rosemead

Here's your chance to get out of the heat, sit back, relax and just listen!  Refreshments will be served.  Each time you attend, you will be entered into a final drawing for a gift certificate.  So, the more "Listen Up" events you attend, the greater chance you have of winning! You must be 18 years or older to participate in the drawing.

Flying with Eagles – Steve Ramirez is retired psychiatric RN who holds a degree in human behavior. He was employed by the State of California Behavior Modification Unit for 25 year. Now retired and a Monterey Park Kiwanian, as well as a past toastmaster President, Steve now delivers motivational speeches – typified by what is expected to be an inspiring occasion for RKC members. The luncheon meeting will start at 12:10 pm at the Open Bible Church (7915 Hellman) in Rosemead and will also be an Interclub with Monterey Park,.
