NEWS

MACY’S/RIF OFFER DISCOUNT: Donate $3 to RIF as a Macy’s customer during August and you’ll receive a $10 discount on a purchase of $50 or more – that’s a synopsis of the attached flyer supplied by Kiwanian Susan Coscarelli, who also heads RIF-SoCal. Last year from this promotion RIF So-Cal received over $100,000 – as excellent as this was, the need this year is even greater. A flyer with details is attached.

SOCIAL EVENT: The Kiwanis Division 10 BBQ was held on Saturday, July26th, from 11-5.  It was attended by Division 10 Kiwanians, including some Rosemead Kiwanians, and their families who enjoyed hot dogs, chips, baked beans and lemonade.  The children of Kiwanians were entertained by a big inflatable bouncer.  Kiwanians ate, shared fellowship, then went to see the Olympic diving competition at the Aquatics Center.  Also in attendance were Key Club members from Rosemead High School and Temple City High School.  It was one fun afternoon!

                                                                   ----- Reported by Frank Quintinella
