Free Youth Summer
Meal Program - Throughout the Summer of 2010 (June 21 thru August 27)
free lunch meals will be available to youths 18 of age and under at three Rosemead locations. In
addition free breakfast will be available at one site. One restriction:
meals must be eaten at the site.

THURSDAY, JULY 8,
2010 – RKC MEETING (Regular meeting)*
Again They Serve - Our speaker will be retired U.S.
Marine Sgt. Enoch ‘Mac’ McClain. The title of his presentation refers to
the volunteers who provide the memorial honors for fallen veterans at Riverside National Cemetery.
The ceremonies consist of a color guard, a rifle firing detail, flag
folding and the presentation of the flag. They
now have over 65 members, ranging between 30 - 86 years of age, with veterans
from WWII to the present, comprising 3 teams.
FRIDAY, JULY 9, 2010
– PUBLIC EXCURSION
Destination: Six
Flags Magic Mountain, a theme park near Valencia on Interstate Route 5, with
departure via bus from Rosemead
Park, 4343 Encinita
Avenue.
On this trip cost
for adults is $30 for Rosemead
residents, $37 for non-residents. Infants two and younger are free. Youths
nine and under must be accompanied by an adult (18 and up).

2010 – RKC MEETING (Regular meeting)*
RKC Board Meeting -- In a continuation
of recent practice, the RKC and RKC Foundation boards will hold a joint
meeting open to participation by all RKC members. The meeting will include
Committee reports and discussion of upcoming activities.

2010 – Community Safety Meeting
Registered Sex
Offenders – Part II "Understanding
How Parole Agents Monitor the Registrants" will be the featured
topic beginning at 7:00 pm in the Rosemead Public
Safety Center,
8301 Garvey Avenue
)just east of San Gabriel Blvd
on the north side of the street.
Law enforcement cannot dictate
where an offender lives, as long as the offender registers his/her
residence with the appropriate address and in compliance with state law.
The work of a parole agent is to prevent sex offenders from future sexual
victimization.
At this meeting, Parole Agent Villar from the California Department of Correctional
and Rehabilitation will explain the process of how sex registrants
activities are monitored once they are living in your community.
The program is part of Public
Safety's continued efforts to promote personal safety and to enhance the
quality of life in Rosemead.

residents, $31 for non-residents. Cost for children four feet or less is
$20 for residents, $25 for non-residents. Infants two and younger are
free. Youths nine and under must be accompanied by an adult (18 and up).

Summer Concert.” series, this week featuring “Bob’s Garage.”
